Head of House

Ms D Costello          Mrs J Elliott Mrs J McDonald

At Anfield Primary, we have three houses representative of the three famous parks in Liverpool: Newsham, Sefton and Stanley Park.

The aim of our house system is to provide every pupil in each house with the following: a sense of belonging within the school community; opportunities to develop social, intellectual, physical and practical skills; a sense of achievement both inside and outside of the classroom and an awareness of individual and collective responsibility.

Improving attendance is something that we pride ourselves in and hold in high regard. We use our house system to promote attendance by holding a 'Grand National' every half term to see which house has had the best attendance. Whilst this 'Grand National' is an event that takes places every half term, we congregate as a house every Thursday morning to collectively celebrate our attendance success throughout the previous week. With the help of our Head boy and Head girl, we also count each classes counters.

Within each classroom, we have a house points system. A class will be rewarded with a counter if everyone in the class is in on a particular day; if everyone has completed their homework; if everyone has read; if everyone in the class is wearing the correct uniform and if everyone has stayed green all day.
