The Governing Body will focus on four core functions:

• Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.

• The educational performance of the school, pastoral care of its pupils, and the performance management of staff.

• Overseeing the efficient and effective use of the school’s resources.

• Fulfilling statutory requirements.

The Governing Body has general responsibility for the conduct of the school with a view to promoting high standards of educational achievement.

The Governing body plays an important role of overseeing the management side of the school including strategy, policy, budgeting and staffing. The Governors work alongside senior leaders to ensure clarity and vision of Anfield Road Primary.
